Happy Thanksgiving!

I know it's a bit late, but it is the thought that counts. I'm spending some quality time at home visiting with the family. It's nice to be back and visit. I haven't actually been home since before the quarter started. I'm trying to do as much relaxing as possible. Since Sunday starts a week and a half of LOTS of work to wrap up the quarter. But life goes on, and then it will be break.

Go Bucks!!

13-0 We're going to Tempe Baby! What a crazy game that was. I was lucky enough to be working in the pressbox for this event. We got to watch everyone charge the field and attempt to take down the goal post. In case you didn't catch any of if, we did find some pictures online

New bands

So last night I went to little brothers on kind of a spur of the moment thing to see two bands that I hadn’t heard of before. It was a friend’s favorite band, so I thought it would be worth a shot to check them out. The first band that played was The Argument. They weren’t bad, just a little different. The lead singer played keyboard, the band looked pretty normal, and they put on a good show. They even had some pretty good harmonics in some of their songs. But on a whole the band basically played emo/pop rock with a few bad 80’s songs mixed in. They fell someone along the lines of The Get Up Kids.

The Clarks, the band we went to see, on the other hand was really good. They had good music, lyrics, and were just fun to listen to. The band has been around for some time now, and it seemed like all their fans were there last night, because I think I was one of five people who didn’t know the words to every song. They were almost like a mix of Our Lady Peace and OAR, with the lead singer sounding like Tom Petty from time to time. They are definitely a band I’m going to check out some more.

Want to play chess?

Dustin Diamond can teach you. Everyone is familiar with him as Screech from Saved by the Bell. Well he has videos to teach you how to play chess. The best part is that you can watch video clips from the tapes. Check them out, and see how amusing this is.
